Where does CNBC Meet?

We meet at Langdon Square Community Centre. We don’t have a traditional building like you would expect, but the community centre is the perfect venue. There is a large hall and loads of rooms for all the kids activities. Our location is conveniently not far from the A174, allowing you to drive in easily from loads of different directions.

What time does it start?

Our main worship service on a Sunday starts at 10:15am. Feel free to come early and make sure you hang around after and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.

How long does the service last?

Our services are designed to be between 60 and 90 minutes long. This involves music, prayer, testimony, discussion, and teaching. On the second Sunday of each month we take communion together.

Do my kids sit with me in the service?

Your children are more than welcome to join you in the service. We are a family church and your children are able to come along and join in. We hope they can come and feel happy to just be themselves. Running around, shouting, and playing are all welcome. We have a mat at the back of the room where children can come and join in with the worship, waving flags and playing instruments. Every week we all join together for the first 20 minutes or so and then the children head out into their own age appropriate sessions. However, if you would feel more comfortable with your children remaining with you in the service then that’s fine to. All our children’s ministry workers are fully refrenced and police checked. Just ask if you have any concerns and your child’s group leader will be happy to help.

What denomination is CNBC?

CNBC is part of the Baptist family of Churches and a member of the Baptist Union of Great Britain. If you want to find out more about what it means to be a Baptist Church then click here.

Do I have to dress up? What do I wear?

Wear whatever you want. The majority of our congregation dresses pretty casual – Lots of jeans!

Do I have to put money in the offering?

Each week we place a collections box in the back of the room. However, this is mainly for our regular attendees. Please do not feel obliged to give anything. You are our guest and you don’t have to pay to come to church. As you decide you want to commit more to this church and its work, then come and chat to us about giving. If you consider Coulby Newham Baptist your home church, we’d love for you to prayerfully consider giving to our community.
